Part-time staff required! The North American JCC
Association will be hiring a part-time staff person, with an intended transition
to full-time, to coordinate Gesher City branches throughout North America, in
conjunction with the JCC Association. Gesher City is an organization which supports,
coordinates and facilitates activities and events for young Jewish adults. Interested

JENE SUMMER FELLOWSHIP
The Foundation for Jewish Camping is recruiting
and training fantastic, serious Jewish Environmental
Educators to work in Jewish overnight camps during
the summer in the United States and Canada. The Jewish
Environmental and Nature Education (JENE) Fellowship
offers a substantial stipend of $4500 + a five-day
all expenses paid training seminar with top professionals
in the field. The JENE Fellows are sent out to camps
that represent the full spectrum of religious affiliation.
Candidates should either have studied or worked in
Environmentalism or environmental education in college
or graduate school, or are beginning a career in environmental
education.

ANCIENT REFUGE IN THE HOLY LAND On Television
Tuesday, Nov 30, 8pm ET/PT on NOVA (PBS)-- In a gloomy
cave perched high in a canyon near the Dead Sea, archaeologists
made a startling discovery in 1960: a bag containing
letters written on papyrus nearly two thousand years
ago. The letters were written by one of the great
figures of Jewish history, the rebel Bar-Kokhba, who
led a heroic guerilla uprising against the Romans.
Now Biblical scholar Richard Freund returns to the
cave with the latest archaeological techniques, hoping
to find more traces of Bar-Kokhba's epic struggle.NOVA
is produced for PBS by the WGBH Boston Science Unit.

WGBH Science Unit and senior executive producer of
